We recommend that your vehicles get a thorough check at least twice a year. There are several specific things to check in the spring. The fluids in your vehicle should be checked to ensure they are in good condition. If you got stuck in the snow it may have overheated the transmission and/or differential fluid to the point that it needs to be changed. Another area of concern is the steering and suspension components. The rough winter left many of our roads in bad condition and that can cause excessive wear on the parts that hold your wheels straight and also on the shock absorbers that soften your ride. It can also change the alignment and make the tires not run true causing excessive tire wear and bad handling. Getting your entire vehicle checked over and maintained as needed can and will improve your fuel economy.
